So far, school is going great for both girls! They started last Wednesday with a 1/2 day and Thursday was their first full day. They were very excited to be riding the bus together for the first time ever! So sweet!! How quickly they grow up!
Quick...the bus is about to come! I can't believe both of my girls are in
school together full day now.

Madison is in 2nd grade this year. She was looking forward to having class with her good friend Natalie this year. They weren't in class together last year, but met on the playground and hit it off really well. She is a sweet, fun, girl so we are happy that they got in class together this year. Madison's teacher is named Mrs. Dean. She is new this year to the school (3 of the 5 teachers are new). With only 3 days behind us, we don't know a lot about her yet, but Madison likes her so far and Mom's first impression was a good one!:>)

Katelyn is in 1st grade this year. She was looking forward to finally being at the same school as Madison, eating lunch in a cafeteria, getting to see Madison on the playground, meeting her new teacher and meeting the kids in her class this year. Unfortunately, she didn't get the same teacher as her good friend/neighbor did, but they get to see each other on the playground everyday and ride the bus together, so its okay.

Katelyn and Mrs. Lamens.
Mrs. Lamens taught second grade last year at Discovery and likes to "loop" her kids up with her to the next grade. So, with any luck, Katelyn might get her again next year. She is a very nurturing teacher and we have heard wonderful things about her, so we are very thankful for an answer to prayer.
